The name of the organisation is “Great Britain – Cyprus Business Association”.

1. OUR OBJECTIVES

The Great Britain–Cyprus Business Association exists to connect, promote, and empower businesses operating between the UK and Cyprus. Our objectives are to:

  • Champion the commercial interests of our members by creating measurable business opportunities and mutual financial growth.
  • Provide a dynamic platform for high-value networking, collaboration, and relationship building in both business and social settings.
  • Facilitate meaningful dialogue on key market trends, challenges, and opportunities affecting our members.
  • Support the growth and visibility of the Association through innovative ideas and member-led collaboration.
  • Act as a strong collective voice for our members, representing their interests where appropriate to institutions and industry bodies.
  • Operate as an independent, non-political organisation, funded exclusively through memberships, sponsorships, and fundraising activities.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, trust, and excellence, encouraging members to work together under a shared code of conduct and high service standards.

2. MEMBERSHIP

a) Membership of the Great Britain–Cyprus Business Association is open to independent companies and individuals engaged in business and legally established as bona fide entities.

b) Members are expected to demonstrate professionalism, cooperation, and camaraderie by actively supporting and promoting positive relationships within the Association.

c) Members agree to conduct their business responsibly and in line with the Association’s mission and values. Each member must provide clients with clear written terms and conditions and/or a written agreement prior to commencing any business activity.

d) Members commit to the objectives of the Association by working collaboratively, encouraging networking, and nurturing business opportunities for the mutual benefit and financial growth of all members.

e) Members should maintain a positive and professional attitude and actively contribute to a culture of trust and mutual respect.

f) Membership is voluntary. Both the Association and individual members reserve the right to cancel membership at any time without notice. Membership fees are non-refundable.

g) Any business agreements between members must be in writing. The Association will not be involved in disputes arising from informal arrangements, and failure to comply may result in membership revocation at the discretion of the Association’s committee.

h) Each member operates as an independent legal entity. No member, nor the Association, shall be liable for the actions, omissions, or liabilities of another member unless expressly agreed in writing.

i) Members are responsible for conducting their own due diligence in all business dealings. The Association accepts no responsibility for agreements or contracts entered into between members or third parties, unless it is expressly a party to such an agreement. Membership alone should not be construed as endorsement or guarantee.

j) Members agree to uphold high standards of service and professionalism, including:

  • Holding valid Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance where applicable.
  • Maintaining all required professional registrations and certifications relevant to their trade.
  • Providing transparent written cost estimates or quotations, with any additional work agreed in writing.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and complying with applicable Data Protection and GDPR regulations, including non-disclosure and non-circumvention requirements where necessary.
  • Complying with the Association’s Constitution and upholding its values.
  • Providing clients with standard written terms and conditions and/or written agreements prior to entering into any business commitment.

3. OUR ACTIVITIES

In summary our activities include:

  • Promoting business networking and collaboration.
  • Introducing your company to our Members and Associates in the UK, Cyprus and beyond, with your consent.
  • Organising international business events, roadshows, and webinars in London, Cyprus, and across Europe, promoting Cyprus as an ideal investment destination and the UK as a global financial centre.
  • Promoting businesses based in the UK and Cyprus, both locally and internationally.
  • Publishing our monthly e-newspaper.
  • Providing up-to-date business information from the UK and Cyprus.

Many Big Firms in Cyprus and UK have already joined us.

If you would like to become a member of our Association, the annual fee is £250.00.

4. WHAT A MEMBER IS ENTITLED TO:

  1. Your logo featured on our website with a direct link and a company description (up to 25 words).
  2. One full A4 advert per year in our e-newspaper.
  3. Up to one article per month published in our e-newspaper: https://gbcy.business/e-newspaper/.
  4. Monthly delivery of our e-newspaper by email, plus frequent invitations for interviews and participation in surveys.
  5. Access to special discounts or sponsorship upgrades for international events: https://gbcy.business/events/.
  6. Priority consideration as a speaker or panellist at international events.
  7. Targeted business introductions in the UK and Cyprus, including access to senior contacts across many sectors such as law firms, accounting firms, financial institutions, real estate, investment groups, suppliers, and high-net-worth individuals.
  8. Direct introductions to top management or relevant decision-makers in sectors of your choice.
  9. Promotion of your events, seminars, or webinars to our members and associates, with the option to co-host events in partnership with us.

5. MEMBERSHIP FEES

  • Membership is paid on an annual basis. The duration is for 365 days.
  • The annual fee is £250.00 (GBP) and is non-refundable.
  • Your company must be clear of any County Court Judgements (UK) or the equivalent in Cyprus and abroad.
  • Your company must be clear of any criminal or fraudulent activities.
  • Your fee must be deposited in our account.
  • Two Sponsorship packages are also available upon request.
